What is your ONE thing for 2021?
Last year I chose my ONE word for 2020. We also kicked off 2020 by asking all of our students for their ONE Word. My word was 'flow' because I wanted to learn how to flow with life better, with acceptance and grace. Sharing our one words during class was quite meaningful, reflective and inspiring.
This year we are going to go even deeper by doing it a little differently...
Have you read Gary Keller's book The ONE Thing? My husband, Dean, has been telling me about it for years and I finally picked it up the other day and haven't been able to put it down since.
The ONE Thing is about focusing on one thing at a time to reach towards your ONE big goal. It asks you to clear through all the clutter of your to-do lists and daily tasks and simply start your day with a clear focus on your one thing for the year, for the month, for the week, and drill it all the way down to your one thing for the day.
If this peaks your interest, I highly recommend reading Dean Bokhari's summary of the book HERE. Although, to really embrace the mindset internally, you gotta read the book! ;)
Earlier in 2020, a dear friend from our Dance Family, Monica, invited me to join her for 21 days of mediation with Deepak Chopra. Every day she shared the new meditation and we reflected and spoke about it. It is one of my favorite moments of 2020. She has now inspired me to re-create such moments with each of you.
